Had some good fun with these down the pub on Saturday night, see what you can do!

1) While walking across a bridge I saw a boat full of people. Yet on the boat there wasn't a single person. Why?

2) If there are two houses next door to each other and each has a garden and the man that lives in one of the houses has a peacock that lays an egg in the other man's garden, whose egg is it?

3) Who makes it has no need for it, who buys it has no use for it and who uses it can neither see nor feel it. What is it?

4) How many times can you subtract 5 from 25?

5) How many of each animal did Moses take onto the ark?

6) In what year did Christmas and new years day fall in the same year?

7) If an electric train is going east at 60mph and there is a strong westerly wind, which way does the smoke from the train drift?

8) There is a marvellous invention which makes it possible for people to see through brick walls, what is it?

9) Cindy is standing behind Ian and at the same time Ian is standing behind Cindy how can this be?

10) Farmer Brown had nine ears of corn in his barn. A squirrel went into the barn and walked out with 3 ears each day. It took the squirrel 9 days to take all the corn from the farmers barn. Why?

11) A woman with no drivers licence goes the wrong way up a one way street and turns left at a corner with a no left turn sign. A policeman sees her but does nothing. Why?

12) What was the biggest ocean in the world before Balboa discovered the Pacific Ocean?

13) Is it correct to say "The yolk of the egg is white" or "The yolk of the egg are white"?

14) Imagine you are in a sinking rowboat surrounded by sharks, how would you survive?

15) You enter a dark room>You only have one match. There is an oil lamp, a furnace and a stove in the room. Which would you light first?

16) What english word can have 4 of its 5 letters removed and still retain its original pronunciation?

17)This sentense contains two mistakes. What are the mistakes?

18)There is one word in the english language which is always pronounced incorretly, what is it?

19) In Okmulgee, Oklahoma, you cannot take a picture of a man with a wooden leg. Why not?

20) How far can a rabbit run into the woods?

I'll let you suffer for a while then post the answers!

My attempts...

1) Because they were all married
2) Depends who gets to it first...
3) A coffin
4) As many times as you want
5) None - Noah took animals into the ark, not moses
6) Every year
7) Electric train - so no smoke (unless it's on fire!)
8) Window.. although you could argue that you're not seeing through a brick wall but seeing through glass
9) They have their backs to each other?
10) Because two ears were it's own ;)
11) Was she walking?
12) Still the Pacific Ocean
13) Neither coz it's yellow
14) If you're only imagining then you won't be in any danger
15) The match...?
16) Queue
17) The two words "mistakes" (but technically there are two sentences and only one "mistake" in each!)
18) "Incorrectly"
19) Because you can't take pictures with a wooden leg
20) Not far coz rabbits don't run...?

Aha,

2) The peacock's
4) Only once, coz then it won't be 25 ;) (although you can subtract 5 from 25 once, then subtract 5 from 25 again so you CAN do it as many times as you want!!)
17) Apparently "the mistakes" are "the semi-long-awaited collaboration by four of modern music's more intriguing practitioners"... http://www.immunerecords.com/mistakes/
20) Halfway, coz the other half will be running out of the woods

And Lyndon & my girlfriend can take some credit too ;)

Here are my guesses (I didn't read the other people's answers).

1) they were inside the boat, not on it.
2) its the same man who owns both houses?
3) oxygen
4) infinite
5) 2
6) -1
7) west
8) window
9) timed skiing -- ian is standing behind cindy as far as the leaderboard goes, but is physically in front of her because the slowest races first.
10) The farmer was putting more corn in?
11) She was walking
12) The undiscovered Pacific Ocean
13) Neither it isn't
14) Climb onto the pier as the boat is docked (or something!)
15) The match
16) aaaar!!
17) Sentense is spelt wrong. There is only 1 actual mistake so the second is that the question is flawed?
18) incorrectly is the word!
19) The place does not exist?
20) er .. a rabbit can't fun it hops (or something?)

Umm.. But Vanda, when you marked MATTB's answers, Questions 2. (Cofin) was correct? or...

When Brittboy completed the Logic Problems, he had a different answer to question 2. (oxygen)?

So who is right?
