Hi all.
Bought this 206cc (2005) knowing that the roof wasn't working and with me being handy(ish) at most things I expected it being a quick fix..... I wish.
Done everything I can think of or seen on here but nothing... Checked some micro switches, or at least I think I have, (which are most likely to fail)? fluid level ok, removed that reset fuse thingy for 15 mins.. Nothing.
Pump has never made a sound.
This video will help you to understand what is involved.
Have you checked both the latch (clamps roof to windscreen pillars) microswitches? They must both work for the roof to function. If the windows do not go down when the roof-open switch is operated, the problem is often one or both of them.
Failing that, I think it would be a good idea to get Peugeot Planet 2000 diagnostic system onto the job.
Still no joy, but i did manage to get the boot lock into home position by pressing the motor relay, did the trick.
Ordered an ECU off eBay to try, and if that fails I'll just take a c off the boot and it'll be then known as a 206c (coupe).
Women told me the roof had been working until recently, maybe she was telling pork pies????

Not that it is likely to help in this instance, but I take it you are referring to removing the shunt in the BSI (cabin fusebox). Be aware that removing the shunt does not reboot the BSI, as some have publicised. It leaves the LSI chip (the brain) powered, so no reboot occurs.
The correct procedure is to remove the battery positive lead. Read here.
When requesting help of a technical nature, please give as much detail of the fault as possible along with details of exact model, engine size & type, gearbox, year, mileage, and any relevant work carried out to try to solve the problem to help us help you.
Better still, put the details in your signature.

Negative earth car .. take NEGATIVE LEAD off first, replace last! Much safer. If you have ever touched the end of the spanner to the car body while undoing the live lead you will not do it twice! (and it cost me a new spanner!). The 206 doesn't help by having that stupid quick release clamp on the wrong terminal!

In general, true, but the quick release clamp does not need a spanner, just a couple of fingers, which are, to 12V, virtual insulators, so I think it's not a problem with the 206.
If it is the roof lockdown micro's, and as I understand will this stop the roof opening process from starting?
But lets say for instance if these two switches were ok... would the windows go down, and then the roof start to open until it got as far as a faulty switch then stop the process?
Or is it all or nothing with these micro's, one not working will never let the process start wherever it is in the mechanism??
The roof hand-latch microswitches are wired in series, so both must function correctly for the system to function. If one is open, neither window will go down.
