Ok, maybe one more post then.
All I was trying to do was sell an item. I did not think it was at a rip off price and people were welcome to make an offer. I may have even included P+P if had got a genuine interested buyer.
Maybe it is me, others feel free to comment, but receiving the following message:-
no offence but you can get the aftermarket one, which is near enough exactly the same, brand new off e-bay for £69 including postage...
not really 'polite and timid' and isn't exactly a help to my sale and is not worded in a such a way that I (or anybody) could really intepret it as a genuine attempt to provide potential buyers with options (no links, examples, OEM, clip on, aftermarket info). Do you not agree hat if you are doing a job, do it properly? All I was trying to do was understand the point to this post which was my first response. All I got back was an edited version with aftermarket added. Like I said in my last post, if it had started something like "For everybody's information, you can get similar aftermarket ones cheaper on ebay. Also on ebay, I have seen bids for OEM grilles go through at less than this. Maybe the seller needs to revise his price.....".
I would've taken the hint at this and both buyers and me would have been 'helped' equally.
I always tried to be factual and provide explanations in my replies and was not intending to be argumentative. I also disagree that my posts wcould be seen as an attack or with attitude. They may have been to the point but that was only to try and help me understand more fully your roles on this forum of advising and providing options to people which I was unaware of.
I also was unaware of the fact that people did not like members just using the forum to sell items. This was not pointed out to me when I joined so for that I apologise and I will either try and contribute more in future (time allowing) or will ask that my ID be deleted.
Basically, the way I saw it was that my sale post was diluted somewhat by hottest-cc's reply post. Would you have not felt the same?
Cheers, Stupot

Knew you wouldn't resist.Anyway, it has been interesting but this is my last post now. I'll leave you guys to carry on
Anyway, I must say that the last post was of a much more acceptable manner and sounds much more friendly and a lot less defensive, which seemed the problem with your second reply.
I think hottest_cc2 was purely helping more established members, and wasn't trying to make anyone feel unwelcome.
I can see both points of view and both have valid points.
I've said it before and I meant it, I wish you luck in selling all your items,
All the best,
Neil
