The 206cc is being px'd for a 307cc so the grille i bought recently and didn't have time to put on is now surplus to requirements and therefore FOR SALE. It will fit any Pug 206 with the sports grille (cc, gti etc).
It is a new and unused genuine Peugeot mesh grille with fittings, instructions, black rubber surround and SP badge. It is still in the plastic cover although I did throw the box in the recycling bin as thought was going to put it on car. See link below for pic.
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/stupot/grille.jpg
I will accept £85 plus any postage and packing or can collect from Blackpool area.
Also due for sale very soon with prices to follow:-
1. Clear lexus style lights
2. Aluminium hoops
3. Clear rear fog light with red bulb
Please mail me if interested.
Cheers

I think you'll find the ones you've seen just clip onto the front of the original grille and are therefore not a fitted grille nor an original Peugeot part. Some people like aftermarket products and some prefer OEM. If you did your research a bit better, I think you'll struggle to find an OEM grille for much less than £85 but as I said, feel free to send me a link to prove me wrong.
Also, in the future, unless you want to buy something from the FOR SALE section, I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself.
How would you like me to post negative comments on your recent post?
And yes, offence taken.

Hate to interfere, but hottest_cc2 was just giving an opinion and stating that an 'aftermarket', not genuine Peugeot one for £69.
I myself thought your grille was somewhat overpriced for a second hand one, but decided not to say anything.
I think you'd have been better not to have retaliated as the attitude in your last message doesn't give off the impression of someone you'd want to do any dealing with.
Anyway, that's my advice, All the best to both of you with finding and selling,
Neil

The thing is though, I wasn't asking for any opinions. I was trying to sell an item on a forum of which I thought members who shared a common interest may be encouraging and helpful as opposed to negative and discouraging. If someone thinks it is overpriced, either show me a true comparison so as I can maybe adjust my price (not aftermarket), make me a lower offer or keep your opinions to yourself and allow other people to make their own decisions as to whether they want to buy an item or not.
I gave the cc person the opportunity to show me a true comparison and they failed to do so as an aftermarket product at £15 cheaper is not really like for like and a lot of people, myself included, prefer to buy OEM products.
Obviously the Peugeot 206cc website FOR SALE section is the wrong place to try and sell a Peugeot 206cc item. Silly me.
With regards to your mention of an attitude, I fully stand by my genuine attempt to try and offer an unused (and therefore like new) OEM product for sale to owners of cc's at a reasonable price and am confident that I have used this forum correctly and that my response was justified. I suggest you maybe consider your own responses a bit more carefully in the future and try and choose the correct threads for discussions and opinions.
Lastly, in response to your comment of me not being someone you'd want to do any dealing with, my 100% feedback record on ebay is a good example of where you have made an incorrect assumption in this case and similarly to me not asking for opinions in my original thread, I also am not asking for any advice.
It is a shame that people cannot feel confident in using the For Sale section of this website without the threat of receiving unnecessary and potentially damaging comments/opinions/advice under the veil of 'being helpful'.
I have learnt my lesson and will use other sources in the future.

Thanks for emphasising what I've already said.
Basically, peugeot206cc.co.uk is a community of quite friendly people who share a common interest and like to help eachother.
You were helping fellow members by offering an SP Grille for Sale
Hottest_cc2 was helping fellow members by giving an opinion of your price and alternatives available, in case others weren't aware of these.
I'm sure you'll agree that there's nothing worse than buying something and finding out you could have bought a similar item a lot cheaper, had you been aware or told about it.
With regards to your ebay rating, I'm sure you have got a 100% feedback, but ebay doesn't involve much in the way of direct communication.
As I said before I wish you luck with your selling, allthough I think you may have run it out here,
Cheers
Neil

Neil,
Thank you for confirming that I was right all along. How were cc's comments 'helping' me then?
Personally, I would think of it as an insult to my intelligence to think that someone feels they need to tell me how to seek out alternatives and compare prices? I, and I would guess ALL the members and visitors to this site, have the ability to do their own legwork and make their own judgement on whether something is good value or not. If I knew there were some independant market researchers acting on everyones behalf on this site, I would't have bothered in the first place.
And still, you have not provided any examples of the same item being available cheaper elsewhere even though this seems to be your basis of your concern for potential buyers.
ebay is very much about direct communication as well as quality of service and product, all of which usually equal good customer feedback.
Also, it doesn't look as though I have run out here as you say. The main purpose of the For Sale section seems to have won through.

no offence but you can get the aftermarket one, which is near enough exactly the same, brand new off e-bay for £69 including postage...
1. Read my post and you have your answer there...A Peugeot one or aftermarket?
Send me a link and I'll believe you.
2. I don't care if you believe me, and I'm not going to waste my time trying to prove that you are ripping people off (neildavies has already done that for me
I was just making people aware that there are other, CHEAPER options available...
As regards to your comments about the site, I don't think you can really pass judgement on that seen as you have posted a total of 8 posts and 5 of which have been on your FOR SALE topic, which looks to me like you were just using the site to sell your items...
used to be hottest_cc...but changed my e-mail addy by mistake & now I can't get my password reminder...Oh well, that's why I'm hottest_cc2!

hottest_cc2 - just to remind you, as you've obviously forgotten, that you edited your post and added 'aftermarket' so please don't try and be clever and make it look as if you answered this question originally.
Secondly, if you think £85 is ripping people off (just £14.50 more than the one that sold on ebay as pointed out by Neil at £57+ £13.50 postage) then maybe I need to revisit my margins. It was a starting figure and if someone wanted to make me an offer, they were more than welcome to do so.
I have not made any negative comments about the site and agree that I am probably not best placed to judge but then again, neither are you. I wasn't aware of any rules prohibiting people from using the for sale section only and maybe if you posted your extensive knowledge of prices as a guide in the general discussion forum as a sticky, that would be more beneficial to people seeking advice. You must admit your original post didn't exactly start with " I would just like to make people aware......" did it? If it had, I wouldn't have replied.
Neil - you'll be glad to here that my other items were already priced near or less than the examples you have given so maybe I can be forgiven for my totally wild, over the top and rip off price that I started at for my grille?
'I didn't get much of a chance as a newbie' was more the point I was trying to make in all of this but got embroiled in a war of words.
Anyway, it has been interesting but this is my last post now. I'll leave you guys to carry on advising and passing opinion to the cc drivers of the world in peace.

Hmm, Stupot says that their grille is only £14.50 more than the BRAND new £59 I found on ebay, if you add on the £14.50 postage. Only, if you look at stupot's original post, thy were asking £85 plus P&P.
Anyway, stupot isn't going to look here any more which I think you guys will agree is selective hearing.
To be honest, I'm not normally the arguementative type, and hottest_cc2 doesn't seem to be, their original post seemed quite polite and timid.
It was just when you see an attack of a reply like stupot's, it gets a bee in your bonnet. I think as hottest_cc2 pointed out, stupot is just using the site to sell, and has made little other contribution at all. I know I'm hardly a massive poster at 30 odd posts, but I didn't pipe up with an attitude response.
I'm hope many others will agree, this is a friendly forum, lets keep it that way,
Neil
