Hi everyone. I'm new here so please bear with me.

Just thought I'd let you all know that I became the proud owner of a new Quiksilver model last weekend. Luckily the weather was fantastic and I spent the whole weekend swanning around the highways and byways with the roof down. The car definately has that WOW factor doesn't it. I even had a fellow 206CC owner wave at me when we passed each other. What a friendly bunch we are! :D

Up until two years ago I owned a top spec 206 in metallic black and I have to admit that I cried when I handed it over. I foolishly decided to trade it in for a Renault Clio so that my son could learn to drive in a more sensible (and slower!) car. Then the swine went out two weeks later and brought himself his own car and I was lumbered with the blooming Renault. I have always loved the 206 and vowed that one day I would own one again.

I have always admired the 206CC but always thought it was beyond my reach. But, 5 weeks ago I decided that enough was enough. I was going to have the car of my dreams come what may. So off I trots to my local dealer, asked what was what, and now, despite a few cock ups along the way, I have it sitting on my driveway. Its certainly put the wind up my 'keeping up with the Jones' neighbour I can tell you!

I have been looking through all the posts here and I shall at some point attempt to put pretty pictures next to my name but one thing I would like to know in the meantime is - what is this 'owner number' reference and where/how do I get one?

I know I have only just got the car but I want to make a few changes, but I don't want to make the car look tacky either. I want to change all the rear lights to clear clusters etc and change the front grille. I was not prepared to pay Peugoet their extortionate rates for doing this and I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations or suggestions. My son is into car modification and has given me plenty of suppliers etc. but I am wary of getting the wrong parts. I would prefer the genuine Peugeot parts but I also know that there are a lot of 'compatible' parts out there. Would these changes affect my warranty :?: Help!

 Hello Louis

I was originally due to get mine on 7th May. I actually got it on 21st all thanks to it being stuck in a Calais compound for over 10 days. Then, to make matters worse it was sent to somewhere in Yorkshire and not Corby which delayed it even more. The one I've got was destined for the showroom but I managed to convince them that my needs were greater than theres! The dealership has now got to wait a further two weeks before they get their replacement. Tee hee.

Still its here now and I don't want to appear as though I'm gloating, but it is a serious head turner I can tell you. I'm sure you will be well pleased when you get it and I hope you have as much fun as me when you do. :)

Your so lucky, the dealerships model has just arrived but theres no chance that i can have it. He says theres to much paper work.
I hope it comes sometime next week, its killing me now all this nice weather and no cc.
But saying that i still havent sold my 206 glx as of yet

Hey Louis

I notice you're from Leicester. I'm not a million miles away from you and I have a sneaky suspicion I know which dealer you are talking about. If it's the one I'm thinking of they have three 'outlets' in the Leicester area. I tried all three of them to see if they would let me have their showroon model but I got the same response as you!

If ever I see another Quiksilver around the Leicester area with a man sitting behind the wheel fitting your description I shall be sure to wave

The dealer is wycliffe in lutterworth, i think your thinking of the others to be honest.
It will arrive soon i imagine though.

So where are you out and about in leicester, as im around the fosse park area and i work near the town centre at the bottom of narborough road.

Are you flirting with me Louis??????? Me a married mother of two as well

Actually I can frequently be seen doing a spot of retail therapy in and around the Fosse Park area. I try to avoid the City Centre as much as possible though - horrible place.

Hope its not too long before you get your car. Go and kick some ass!
