Just thought I'd let you all know that I became the proud owner of a new Quiksilver model last weekend. Luckily the weather was fantastic and I spent the whole weekend swanning around the highways and byways with the roof down. The car definately has that WOW factor doesn't it. I even had a fellow 206CC owner wave at me when we passed each other. What a friendly bunch we are!
Up until two years ago I owned a top spec 206 in metallic black and I have to admit that I cried when I handed it over. I foolishly decided to trade it in for a Renault Clio so that my son could learn to drive in a more sensible (and slower!) car. Then the swine went out two weeks later and brought himself his own car and I was lumbered with the blooming Renault. I have always loved the 206 and vowed that one day I would own one again.
I have always admired the 206CC but always thought it was beyond my reach. But, 5 weeks ago I decided that enough was enough. I was going to have the car of my dreams come what may. So off I trots to my local dealer, asked what was what, and now, despite a few cock ups along the way, I have it sitting on my driveway. Its certainly put the wind up my 'keeping up with the Jones' neighbour I can tell you!
I have been looking through all the posts here and I shall at some point attempt to put pretty pictures next to my name but one thing I would like to know in the meantime is - what is this 'owner number' reference and where/how do I get one?
I know I have only just got the car but I want to make a few changes, but I don't want to make the car look tacky either. I want to change all the rear lights to clear clusters etc and change the front grille. I was not prepared to pay Peugoet their extortionate rates for doing this and I was wondering if any of you had any recommendations or suggestions. My son is into car modification and has given me plenty of suppliers etc. but I am wary of getting the wrong parts. I would prefer the genuine Peugeot parts but I also know that there are a lot of 'compatible' parts out there. Would these changes affect my warranty
