Just recieved a letter from Pug Assistance. offering me the special offer of extending my cover for an additional 2 years. In the letter it stated that i have been specially selected (??) for this limited offer and i must reply within 30 days to get the offer. (i had the impression that its available to every CC owner) I can choose to pay the full amount now or £50 deposit and £50 when my existing one expires. The worst part is that my policy doesn't expires until October, thats in 5 months time!!!

Needless to say i will be paying them as i can't be a***d to sort it out with them in Oct and arguing the point. Have enough of that with "So called" Peugeot Customer Relationships.

Funny, I had also been "specially selected" when the same letter got pushed through my letter box yesterday.

What's even funnier is that I got the same letter even though it specifically says on my original invoice: "2 years AA - £40", which I've obviously already paid. I think I feel a phone call coming on ;)

Just a thought now my CC is over a year old.
Does this mean my Peugeot assistance is expired? I have had nothing sent to me asking me to renew anything.

I think this might mean a call to the ever so popular Customer relations line. (da da daaaaa!)
As usual Peugeot are trying ever so hard to confuse us all!
I did receive a letter and a nice courtesy call from Peugeot last week asking if I would like to take them up on their offer to end my passport agreement which runs out in September! Where they got this information from I don't know!!!

Hiya,

I got the letter a while ago, decided not to take up the offer, but they were ever so helpful calling me at 8pm monday evening during eastenders to try and persuade me to join up.......so be warned underhand tactics like disturbing u during eastenders may be deployed if u dont reply

And u asked for the number....well the number is 0845 200 1234, but i dont know if they will want a reference number cuz apparently ur meant to be one of the "lucky" ones to get this "special" offer

Erm
MMMMmmmmmm V-TEC u gotta love it :)

sara,

you won't get any cheaper than £50 for the full cover peugeot gives you.

AA & RAC are either £39 or £42 but that is for the very basic cover which is next to useless.

just checked the AA site. equivalent cover to peugeot assistance is £136 for continuous payment or £164 for one off payment.

and yes that's only for one year, not for life

the only difference with the cover direct from the AA is at that price that entitles one other person in your household to have the same cover.

I have this cover from the AA and it has been on hold since I got the pugs, its still on hold now for at least 2 years as I get RAC cover with the Pumas.

Oh just one thing. If you ever are an AA member after you dont use pug cover, they will send you a reminder to renew.

Do what I do. Ring up the joining line and pretend to be a new customer, its always cheaper. Then ring the renwals kline and tell them you want it at the new customer price. The moan and say no its only for new customers. Just tell em you will lapse your membership and rejoin the day after it expires. They soon back down and it has usually saved me about £30 each time.
