Lumpy idleing

i have a 1.6 cc which was runin lumpy when cold but ok after it warmed up. had the belt pre tensioners changed under warrenty as there was an intermittent squeak comin from the engine pulley. car now idles fine & accelerates much better

I took car in today to get it booked to find out whats wrong, and mentioned that it could be the lashes thingies you mentioned, so 21st March is when its going in, and all under manufacturers warranty still PHEW !!. They said they hook it up to diagnose it, but Im worried that even that won't show anything wrong, they need to drive the bloody thing to see the problem. Ill let you know the outcome.

I having the issue...When idling at the traffic lights, the rpm fall from 850 to 750 and return to 850. It happen every 20 sec or so or maybe even more frequent. Basically, having this jerking feeling....

advice from my friend is to go for an software upgrade...have yet to do so..will do soon...Hows yr outcome?do let me know...

Sorry ive not been around much, but I got that problem sorted and it seems to be a little better now, was a case of doing some welding work in the manifold apparently, but its better at least, wasnt the tappets though as suggested.
