i dont know about crack but for scratches it cant really be "repair" because of the reflective layer, i enquired into repairing mine. they said they still will repair it if i really wanted to but will leave the repaired spot uncoated, and will leave a mark seen as different as between surface of coated and near rear mirror where not coated, but not as cleanly even bordered as seen there. (so i didnt repair it for only cosmetic reason. on safety/practical side shouldnt be a problem)

I'm about to arrange something for the chip in my wife's 2.0se CC. I took it to the autoglass site on saturday for some advice, apparently the machine they use to repair chips sucks the air from the chip and then drops in resin - the vacuum allows it to go right into the cracks giving the repairs often quoted (disappears etc). In our case they guy who look at the screen said that it may still be visible because the chip is just a bit on the big side but we think we'll go for it as chip repairs are free on our insurance. It it needs replacing it'll be £50. Guy reckons the finish on our screen is "solar" ... as opposed to greenbluebronze ...

hey ho..

Knowing peugeot you'd probably struggle to get ya hands on a replacement windscreen anyway.

Hasn't the CC got a special toughened windscreen?

No, i think you are right derek.
http://www.autoglass.co.uk/safety/windscreen.html [/url]"]Your windscreen provides up to 30% of a car's structural strength. That means it could stop you being crushed in a rollover accident. And many passenger airbags rely on the windscreen to work properly.
So i spose all windscreens are quite tough. Thats why you should always go to a proper windscreen place not some backstreet garage ;)

Also a good reason NOT to let the mongeys do it! :?
