Did all the downloading and patching last night.
Anyway, It took a long time due to me having a dial-up and every once in a while my firewall asking me if I should permit a cookie (nad me not being there to say OK), the connection dropping off, and my virus scanner doing a full scan at the same time. I had left it running and gone outside, so hadn't realised it was running. Would have taken a lot less time if I had sat there with it and said OK at the relevant times.
Anyway, during the course of the evening my firewall stopped nearly 1000 attempts to get onto my system.
Admittedly many of them were ads, but around 400 of them were trying to get at a port...

Bloody computer geek who wrote this thing is probably soooooooo pleased with his/her self. The :censored:
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

Its the most complex virus i've ever seen, i've never known any to work the way this one does and to have such a big effect on the general public

Rob,

couldnt you write a script to patch all the servers at once?
