Couple of problems I'd like advice on please.
1) Oil level guage
This worked Ok for the first week or so (I think). Now reads either full, empty, overfilled or any other reading seamingly randomly however when I check the oil its always exactly to the max level on the dipstick.
I took it back after a few weeks and when I picked up the car I got told "no fault found" and "probably air in the dickstick tube" by the receptionist.
However I've tried to book it in again and spoke with the dealer principal who came back said "having spoken with my chief monkey I am informed they all do it, its a known fault and peugeot have no fix for it".
Is he correct ??
2) Tyre Wear.
From new I had 17" wheels fitted - tyre place met me at the dealers and fitted on the dealers ramps (I sold the original tyres to the wheel place for £200
The front tyres are wearing slightly on the outer edges. Tyre pressure is 2.3 bar (33psi) so all should be well there. I asked the dealership to have a look at geometry settings.
I was informed on picking up the car "that as we are a peugeot dealership we no very little about tracking for non standard wheel sizes" .. surely the wheels point in same direcvtion no matter what the wheel size??
Then rather worryingly was told "we have no settings for your car/wheels but it looked OK against the settings for 607 with 17" wheels!!" ... I kid you not.
Should I be worried?
Car is going in on Wednesday this week for the sports exhaust to be fitted. Should I be complaining about the above 2 things.
Oh and while were on it
3) Car was ordered a week or so before easter and picked up on Good Friday. Its not colour co-ordinated and I specifiacally asked the youth from sales if there was a new model or face lift due and was told "no". However he no longer works there. I have a good repport with the sale manager and the dealer principal is it worth trying it on with them?
