Actually, i washed mine on sunday.. .and it leaked.. I took it to peugeot on wednesday.. and they adjusted the roof and the doors.. they say its a common problem and its just a few adjustments...

Now i drive.. and it goes as silent as ever.. no creaks at all... .and no leaks at all.. the car seems much much stiller...
mmmm

Ask your technical advisor about adjusting the doors.. wen I asked how it solved the problem.. well he just sed... the doors press harder against the seals and rubber.. and prevent the squeks and leaks...

makes sense.

dealers in the Uk have be warned not to admit to a problem. Melanies car is much better than mine and is pretty squeak free. So it seems later built cars are better.

Roll on my new one in April 2001 and good riddance to this duff one.

After i took the car back for the first leak, i noticed the noise in the cabin was louder, ie road noise and the exhaust, What should i ask them to do to sort this then?

I'm currently having the same problems with my car after picking it up 2 weeks ago.

Peugeot have ordered new roof seals from France which is gonna take weeks, so they are giving me a courtesy car tomorrow.

I will certainly mention the adjusting of the roof and doors especially if it means I get my car back sooner!!

Thanks Farouk!!!

Sorry to put a dampner on it but mine has had 4 sets of seals now and still no joy.

Going to ask Peugeot for a raincoat ;)

Try getting them to adjust the doors so that they sit firmer on the seals... its a simple job takes no more than 10 mins....

Tried that Farouk. Just got a duff car

Ive had a few soft tops in the past, both new and classics so I have tried all sorts of tricks I have picked up over the years. Same story, mine is just a duff one.

But thanks for the thought any way.

I got my car washed today and a little water came in around the window seals. Wasn't too bad as they were use a high pressure hose and were obviously not trying to avoid the seals or anything.

I will keep an eye on it, if it is bad enough I will take it back to the dealer.

Hi Col,

Water is getting in through the gaps around by the front roof clips on both sides as well as the back join where the roof folds into the boot.

peugeot have currently got my car in the workshop to replace the seals, but the seals appear to be on back order so not sure when I will get my car back.

I have asked them to look at adjusting the roof & doors as the gap on the passenger side is wider than the drivers side

I will keep you posted

Mine's been leaking ever since I had it in September. Its gone back to the dealership for the third time today. Its already had the seals replaced and the roof realigned to press firmly on the seals. Not sure what they'll come up with this time

I'll keep the group posted, surely if its obvious there's a major problem with this they can't continue to deny it.

Lisa, I trust that you have been given a loan car whilst you wait for new seals.

It might be of interest but when my car was at its worst in June I 'persuaded' Peugeot to hire me a 206CC. Well I had paid for a 206CC and through no fault of my own I wasnt going to drive anything less.

If you want to try this then by all means quote me as an example. They are always most helpful with me now.
