That's interesting, maybe that's why I see so many Impreza WRX's,Golf GTI's, etc on the road, they may be better built cars but not quite as exclusive or as practical as the CC in my opinion.

The reason I like the impreza is because it seems more pratical than my CC but still holds the fun factor.
It will cover more miles (components used in the impreza go on forever)
I can take 5 people in it instead of 2 plus a load of luggage. I've never been able to fit people in the back.
It handles better due to its larger size and setup and is generally safer to drive (great in bad weather).
Resale values are very good. The only real down side to the impreza is the fuel consumption but when your at 60 from standstill in a few seconds who cares.

really these types of cars cannot be compared as they're so different.
As said i've had a change of career situation so I need to think about changing cars.
As for Golfs I dont know much about them.

Chris its no good trying to explain the benefits of any other car on this site other than the 206cc, as people like Robbie "Big Star" cant see the wood for the trees.

Then again, do I really know what on earth I'm talking about?

Why am I still here?

Why do I keep posting such negative thoughts?

All I seem to do is criticize other forum members?

Can any member guess why I appear to be turning over a new leaf?

Answers below please

NS, I value and respect the diversity of people's opinions on this Forum, after all, it's a free Forum for all members and whose to say who is right and who is wrong.

After all it would be a pretty boring world if everyone held the same view or if everyone proclaimed to be a lawyer.

NS,

i have supported you in the past, but obvious to say that people who bought a CC bought it because it's the car they prefer. they don't have selected vision

i have already considered what would happen if i had to reject my 2nd CC and don't have a clue what i would buy instead. it certainly wouldn't be a VW or Subaru.

derek

p.s. it's a matter of personal preference - everyone is different.

Not keen on the inference that CC owners are blinkered!

My reasons for buying the CC were:
1. It has got a hard roof
2. It has got passenger seats
3. You can get golf clubs in the boot (not mine my husbands) and my horses saddle still fits in with the roof down.
4. I have always like the 206.
5. Unlike the SLK I could afford it.
6. It turns heads!

There, are they good enough reasons for wanting one. If I had to sell my CC I don't think there is another car on the market today that would grab me as much as this one. My previous cars were nothing special just a to b jobs but the CC well I think you all know what I am getting at!

Burge

P.S. Well lets put it this way I wouldn't have remortgaged to buy anything else!

Its nice to know that this forum provides freedom of speach. I wonder how many other users have had their messages altered by others!!! It just goes to show dont believe what you read. I can understand why you are all getting so defensive, I was like that when I first had mine. The thing I dont understand is why you are still so committed to the car, you all have problems, the service is crap (can I say that?) yet you are still pursuading others to buy them, although at the same time youre all sending emails to Peugeot to complain. Something does not make sense here.

I look forward to you rewording my post, as you obviously dont want a forum where people can express their own views

(anyway- got to go as I need the toilet).

Hi NS,

nobody can alter someone elses posts.

only the admin (me) or the moderator for this forum which happens to be me also can alter the posts in this section.

and i see no reason to alter your post.

Cheers

NS, if you still feel anything for the cc (and you must or you wouldn't still be here!) fill out the questionnaire to record what faults your car suffered from.

If you already have, thanks. We need to do something proactive rather than just falling out with each other.

Lydon, I can assure you that someone is altering mine, do you really think I would right things about the toilet! If its not you, then someone knows my password, and is doing it. I assume its Robbie "medium star" Is there any way you can check. My password was easy to find out! So that is how they have been altered. Most of the things I have written in the last month have been altered!
