Please help roof fault

Post by markharriers »

Hi all im hoping someone can help me :/ my roof on my 206 was working fine until today. When i release the side clips and press the button nothing happens just can hear the micro switch. The only thing i have done is go in the boot? Would be very grateful of some advice as there was no pre warning it was working perfectly.

Thanks in advance

Check that the blind in the boot is correctly positioned, and the switches are functioning.

We had to replace the operating switch once .. they don't last forever

Pull it out of the centre console gently and check that it is still plugged in first.

Yes. How about the switches at the tops of the windscreen pillars?

There's a microswitch each side. Sometimes they need cleaning. A spray can of electrical switch cleaning fluid is ideal, e.g. this.
