actually the transmission failed 3 days after purchase....luckily the dealer took responsibility and fix it for me
It was a faulty switch which cost him over a $1000.00 and two weeks to be done.

Sister in law lives in Perth. Glad you're happy with the Falcon. Prefer Holden myself (you tend to be either a Ford or GM fan, and I have always been GM)
Cheers Col.

Re: Boot lid and moving shelf
had very bad experience with holden the last one was a commodore it gave me around 350 km per tank
took it to holden dealer for diagnosis and paid a hefty price, they said it is perfectly tuned and nothing wrong at all
on the other hand ,falcon parts are sooo cheap here and every wrecker has them ...last falcon I had paid $110 for brand new radiator,,,,paid $60 for second hand starter, and their fuel economy is really great.
they have few problems with body and most common is interior roof lining which becomes like an umbrella after few years but you can go to an auto trimmer and replace it with an everlasting quality trim for $200
too bad Ford is going out of business in a couple of years then holden and toyota will also shut down their factories,,we will end up with no car industry
the worst of all are most holden's four cylinder models they mostly come with Opel rubbish motors
with loads of problems after the first 100000km
LOVE MY FORD
cheers
