My son in law was driving at night, he said everything went off and the engine cut out but restarted due to his forward motion, the starter which had been making a zing noise when starting failed to start.
I recovered the car, found power to the energising wire, replaced the starter, it started alls well.
Next day he drove ten miles to work, halfway home the engine management light came on and has stayed on, would rebooting the BSI cure this and turn off the light or does the system have to be cycled a few times to 'relearn'??
Its a Y reg 206 1.4 LX.
Tony or 'dad the mechanic' if you please
