I have the oil and on the peugeot sticker the part number is:

9735.57

Hope this helps.

If you are buying to top up youre system and you know how do to it please can you let me know as I want to top mine up at some point. It tells you how to do it in the repair guide on this site but it didnt work. It says to remove a bolt on the side of the pump and inject the oil into the resulting hole, I tried using a large syringe but the oil wouldnt go in. I wonder if you have to release the hydraulic pressure by using the allen key as in when using the manual roof operation procedure.

hello , i posted the same kind of post months back no one helped , i had the same problem , anyway i finally fixed mine sooo happy well my dad fixed it ,

my roof wouldnt open or shut as the hydrillic fuild was too low and was leaking , all he did was went peugeot and brough the oil cost around £11.00 then removed all the casing the the boot , you will see once the casing get removed you have a little box thing on the right hand side undo it and you will see the pot of oil , u have to the metel thing around it or u can get a serfing and it will take ages its up to u , either way it will make the roof work once it has been filled up ..

i no how you feel i was stressing for months now its fixed and works better than before

hope that helps

and couldnt believe how easy it was

If you go to your dealer ask them to print you off how to fill you oil its easy and rather quick +
easy to understand. If you get no look as some dealers are like that ill give you my number and will tell you how
to do it just let me know.

Why not post it on a new thread on here Steve and I'll make it sticky. That way anyone can make quick reference to it. That would be really useful, thank you.

Possible things to try.

- Has the roof been used manually. watch the following video to check if the catches are in the right position for automatic mode.

http://www.peugeot206cc.co.uk/uploads.p ... vid-04.avi

- Try resetting the roof mechanism by looking in the fuse box below steering wheel and removing and refitting what looks like a fuse in fuse slot no 1. Its called shunt. It will reset the roof ecu as the ecu may be confused to what position the roof is in.

- Have you checked on the pump that the allen bolt that you loosen in a manual roof proceedure has been tightened. If not there will be no hydraulic pressure.

_ Check all connections are secure to the new pump from the ecu.

- check fuse for roof mechanism. (should be in youre manual which one it is as I dont know the year of youre car).

- Possible microswitch fault.

If these dont work it sounds like your hydraulic system needs to be bled/looked at and that im afraid is a peugeot job.

The official peugeot manual states you should do the "load reduction" proceedure before removing the hydraulic lines. I have no idea what this is but it may well have had an effect now.

Is the new pump secondhand. Maybe a very slight possibilty that it is faulty as well.

Who told you in the first place that the pump was faulty.

Hi to all!
I recently had to buy the Aral Vitamol ZMH oil from my local Peugeot dealer and when I told them I needed the oil with part number 9735.57 they told me that the part number is not correct for the 206cc, that it is the oil for the Peugeot 205... so they looked it up and ordered for me the oil with part number 9734 NO instead. When it arrived I noticed that it was a little bottle of only 125ml (very expensive, almost €20) and all that was written on the bottle was:
9734 NO - PRO - Oil for hydraulic systems - Peugeot Citroen Automobiles - 125ml - http://www.quickfds.com - Made in France, Properties: High viscosity index, Anti-wear, Thermal stability, Resistance to oxidation, Anti-corrosion, Anti-foaming, Neutrality to elastomers.
Since I had a leakage in my hydraulic system because of a faulty strut and already fixed that, I now am in need to order a bottle of oil again and I wondered if there are other possibilities... Can anyone suggest me if I could use other types of oils and where I could find (order and buy) it cheaper?
Could I use the less expensive oil 9735.57 instead?
Please let me know your suggestions, many thanks in advance!
