roof and windows work but wont stop beeping

the roof on the 206 works fully as do the windows. but

there used to be a beep only when the roof was down and driving along

but today the beeping started happeing when the roof was up or down

where is best to look to get this sorted?

so far i checked the 1 catch sensor in the boot and it looks ok where next?

Hi Ben,

Check whether there is any leak of hydraulic oil in the boot of the car and, if so, get it quickly looked at. My car wouldn't stop beeping when this happened and there was a leak in the pump.

Where a re the front sensors to check them and also how do you test?

Is it only beeping when you move off or stationary as well?

apparently it is intermitant but mostly when driving

Just make sure the beeping isn't something else like handbrake on warning, or seatbelt. If it is the roof, do you get the confirmation bong at the end of the roof cycle?

Hi,

1. I am having a similar problem.

2. Occasionally, during my drive (especially after I go over a bump), the beeping will start. It will only cease when I do the following:

a. Stop the car.

b. Unhook the roof latches.

c. Push the roof switch (to simulate closing of the roof). Some hydraulic sounds could be heard. Thereafter, a 'bong' will sound off (similar to the one that indicates the complete closure or opening of the roof).

3. It use to happen once a few days until recently, the problem occurs once every 2-5km.

4. Would appreciate some leads/ advice to solve this issue. Thanks.

Sounds like the roof corner latches and/or microswitches need adjustment
