My 206cc, 1600 05reg keeps intermittently cutting out when I slow down. I lose the power steering as the car stalls. It jumps back easily, and will then run as normal. I travel 20+ miles to work every day and can go 3 weeks with no problems, then another journey it'll happen every time I slow down.
The air bag malfunction warning will sometimes come on, and last week the anti pollution warning.
It's serviced regularly and has recently had new clutch and exhaust. The garage did a thorough check each time but could find nothing wrong. When I got the anti pollutin warning I decided to take it to a Peugeot main dealer for a diagnostic check. They have suggested new fuse box, earthing wire and battery total cost in region of £500. But have said they can't guarantee this will fix it.
Any suggestions? PLEASE!!!!
