Hi guys,
I just found this site, and maybe someone here can help me.
I bought a new 206CC in Sept 2004. All seemed OK. Didn't put the roof down much until next March. With the roof down & windows up, there was a rattle from the windows on driver's side on every bump in the road. Back to dealers - "You should expect that, Sir. Drive with windows down". Checked with Peugeot, "We recommend driving with the windows up". Arguments with dealer, some adjustment made, problem goes away.
Long story short, the problem keeps recurring. It's been back several times, is OK for a while & then the problem returns. Sometimes (including now), there is also a whistling noise through a gap between the windows on the driver's side, even when the roof is up.
Is this a common problem? Is the cause known? Window holder? Twisted car frame? Bent door?
I'm taking it back to the dealers in a week, and would like something to say to get them to fix it for once and for all.
Any suggestions and advice would be very welcome.
TIA
Jon
P.S. Is it worth contacting a solicitor to reclaim my money - goods unfit for purpose, etc.?

If you look through the forum you will notice that your not the only one to have these problems.
Rattling is very common on the cc and i believe most Convertables. My brother has a 306 Cab and has just as many rattles.
There seems to be a very common problem with the door/windows not shutting properly, which leaves a gap at the top of the window. if you undo you window then do it up again it should fix the problem. Gets annoying that you have to do it almost all the time, but after reading what everyone else has wrote if you take it to PUG to get fixed, the problem will return after a while.
The best way to get rid of the rattles and most noise problems is to crank up the stereo. ha ha
Good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply.
I did search for posts on this problem, but must have missed them. I saw a few comments about soft-tops, but not the hard-top. I'll have another look.
The gap's not at the top of the window, but is vertical, where the back & front windows meet, and putting them down & up doesn't help.
I'm not pleased that it's a common problem - doesn't bode too well for a fix. This is the first new car I've ever bought - I sort of hoped it would work properly.
