could be a number of things - transponder aerial, faulty sensor interior or exterior etc etc

if it's still in warranty best pop it in to the peugeot dealer and see what they say.

Mine does this occasionally too - I have always put it down to lots of rain over the past few days and a bit of water getting onto the wiring causing a confusion. Once it has been hot and dry for a few days (not very often in this country i know) it seems fine.

On my new CC the interior sensors are not being disabled when the roof is down, nor will it manually disable from the button by the steering wheel. A job for the garage whilst its in warranty?
If its locked with the key its fine but of course no alarms at all

Thanks its just getting the time when I'd rather be driving round in it! Was late for the FCS by the way although we had a look round the CCs of course. didn't like it on the tarmac so much as last year.

Oh yes it is a 55 plate got it in September. Practically stole it of the forecourt. Got lucky the main salesman was on holiday and the junior quoted me about a grand less than he should have and to include the 17 inch vortex alloys. It's a 2L Allure. You can definitley see all the little improvements on my old 03 CC.

I havent had a chance to take my car down yet either!! Dont want to go on my own, as the mechanics ususaly think im a joke ( coz of my age and being small and female) so been waiting for a time when both my dad and me are free to go together.

I wasnt at FCS last year, only got my car last sept, so this was my first time... had a brilliant time though, nit that my car made it this time :( ( long story) you should have come over to our stand and said hi :D
Mines the 1.6 automatic allure i managed to blag quite a big dicount aswell, as i always say, " you dont get if you dont ask!"

hope you get the alarm fixed ok!

My alarm has started to go off for no apparent reason, at random times, too.

The car is a 2001 1.6 so is way out of warranty.

Its not annoying me, not just yet - it only goes off a couple of times after i've armed it - but it has potential.....

My alarm is now doing this too, goes off at random. Tried the button to disable the internal sensors with no effect.
Several people have told me early 206 ccs commonly suffer from the boot switch/sensor going gaga. Anyone heard of this? I had a quick scout round but couldn't find evidence of this, and 2 local dealers will only tell me to book in and pay £80 diagnosis fee, extra charge if they cannot find fault within 1 hour (you can guarantee they won't :x )

Had the alarm upgrade done today in about half an hour. Seems to have done the trick with the added bonus that the door locks now go on automatically when you set off!
