I've got a bulb off in the third brake light. I've removed the panel behind, but theres a metal plate with 2 nuts on bolts in it. Is this the way in? Or can it be removed from the front? If so, how?
Thanks for any replies.

yeah undo the 2 bolts and the entire light should pop out giving u access to the bulbs, may need a bit of jiggling/tapping depending how long they've been in :)

I am going to give this a try tommorow:drunk::sorry::drunk: - I have 3 out, think I bought the right ones in Halfords according to their manual, bulds '501' @ £2.99 but she charged me £2.69 at the till :drunk:

Next to the '501's' they had '501A' that were tinted red/orange  shall see what happens tommorow :lol2:

Ok the 501's I got from Halfords are a little big. The Halford ones I bought say 501 E2, where as one of the bulbs from the brake light bar says E2 2A so assume I got the right buld, just bigger size :yuck::drunk:

Shall try online :-)

If you are talking about the middle brake light, I think you might have to buy the whole unit as my one was sealed (couldnt open) and I think its LED's not bulbs and they are not replaceable. (I may be wrong).

Its only about £14 from peugeot.

Do you mean that brake light or the normal side brake lights (same cluster as indicators etc).

Yeh its the middle brake bar thats in the middle of the boot lid

I got mine out per the instructions above. The unit had 4 screws and when unscrewed the red plastic came away and left the orange plastic bit with all the bulbs sitting in place. Yes they are LED, they pop out and someone has replaced them before as there is one rattling around in the red light housing.

The bulb is exactly the same as the 501 I bought from Halfords except the one I need is alot smaller and as you say LED. I have found them on ebay and websites but they are either Blue or Amber I assume I need white or maybe red.?

I shall take some pictures tommorow if its dry - I am yet to pop into Halfords to see/ask if they have the bulbs I need. I did look to see if the whole middle brake light would be easier to replace but some websites was £30-£85 when 2 bulbs could be £2.99

I got it wrong.

New one from peugeot is £ 31.11 + VAT

Part no : 6350N6

If you can replace the led's then please let us know where you got them from as I went and bought a new unit.

Be aware that they can sometimes leak water after replacing when it rains heavily. I ended up using clear silicone sealant around the edge of the light fitting when putting back on the car.

Just looked at my old unit and I see what you mean. The led bulbs on my old unit are clear. so I think its the colour of the plastic that makes the red colour.

I didnt ask peugeot if they sold the individual bulbs :ill:
