Hi
This is my first post so please dont bite. My better half has just purchased a '03 206CC (with dealer warranty) and it seems pretty good in most repects, but I have a few questions which I will ask throughout today.

When we drove the 206 we noticed that the clutch had a very high biting point, right at the top of the pedal movement. This was very similar but slightly higher than a 307 that I test drove. The dealer said this was normal.

The clutch isnt slipping when driving, but it seems you cannot rest/hover your foot on the clutch while in gear without it starting to disengage, slip

Can this be adjusted in any way so that it comes mid way down the pedal movement? Surely its just a case of adjusting a cable?

Regards
Stu

no it cant be adjusted as it auto adjusting and the system is hydrolic.also tis very bad practice to have foot on cllutch/resting,when driving, halfs clutch life and puts unnessasary stress on release bearing.
high biting point is normal.clutch pedal should roughly be in line with the brake pedal.if noticable higher ?then you have a problem. :D

I suppose its just going to take some getting used to. I drove it on Saturday and didnt have any problems and my fiance has got more used to it too :)

Pedals are all ok, no problems there.

Thanks.

Mine is the same, but you do get used to it. Beware, though, that whenever you drive another car [after being used to the high clutch] you'll probably stall it.
