hey guys/gals,

these questions have been asked here for thousand times (i read almost all topics) but i have this problem in my 206CC 2.0 (2001):

1. Since last summer when I bought this car: When roof is closed, this strange beep-beep (couple) usually happens (couple times a week) when driving to small bumps. Is it because computer thinks that roof (or back bonnet or whats that called) is not in place (due small bouncing)? does SW update help to it?

2. Ok, then (last week) happened worse: Now beep just keeps going. Cant open roof, anything cant be done. Back bonnet is in place and everything else seem to be ok too. Could the system be somehow "freezed", could like a reboot help to this (i mean like remove the battery)? or could a manual releasing (and putting it back) of the roof help? (havent done that once, just read about it from the manual :D)

why i'm asking, is that i would not have to take the car to repair shop or anything. But, i will take if there is no other solution. :(

thanks beforehand for quick help :)

BR,

there are several microswitches in the boot area and inside where the roof latches are, sounds like one or more may be faulty so the computer doesn't know where the roof or boot hence the none operation, a trip to a peugeot is in order as they may need to reset the roof :?

again it'll be best to let peugeot have a look, hopefully it shouldn't cost too much :?

May be worth looking at the videos of the roof operation, it sounds like it's partially activated itself. But if you don't fancy it then let pug do it ;)

thanks mates,

went to "Automaa" (Cardland in english :D) shop, and yes that trunk lid lock thing was just a co-incidence, the lower part of the lock had slipped too down and it had to be adjusted, works now (can be done with just a screwdriver). :)

but, did not solve whats wrong with the roof, a guy there said i better make an appointment and they'll check that then. so going there next week, lets see what they find out.

BTW, they (engineers there) said the roof cannot be "resetted". what was the talk about the resetting in other roof-topics...? they said that if every switch is ok, the roof should work.

I was thinking the one that shows you how to lock and unlock the catches near the rear screen but it sounds like it wasn't the problem anyhow ;) I wondered whether the white thingies were in the right position. If that makes sense!
