not sure where to post this tbh!!

i know the CC had a few changes done at come point.. few little niggles.. like:
more reliable roof
few engine changes - more horse power (i think)
etc etc

but does anyone know the exact time this was done?

ive been looking around at cc's and ive noticed the front bumper on the 1.6's changed.. i was looking at a 2001 model and the big mouth grill bit at the front (excuse the girly terms!) comes above the number plate, compared to a 2002/52 model where the grill is huuuge and comes down past the number plate!!
(sorry cant explain it very well!)

just wondered if anyone new when peugeot did all these changes?
cuz im after a 206cc that has had all these weird and wonderful thingies done!! lol

Or am i being an idiot and ive got it totally wrong?!

think it was 2002 when the 1.6 had the sports bumpers like the 2.0 SE, the normal gti and the hdi i think :)

it might still be potluck if you get a NON leaking one even after the changes :? mine was 2001, about the first in the country, sold to the public and mine never leaked at all :D

I think the 1.6 got the 2.0 bumper in July 2002, similar to what Lyndon said. My replacement CC arrived in March 2002 and the update was around the summer time afterwards.

As far as roofs go, changes were made about the time of my replacement with new seals but this was never official but it is no coincidence that problems were heard of much less after this period.

I noticed from reading this forum that the most problamatic cc's came along in the later half of 2001. I have a 2001 June car and this was ordered as soon as I got to test drive a car. They were very rare cars at the time and after waiting 3 months for my car I had only seen 3 other CC'S on the road in all that time. My car was the first black cc I ever saw! I was lucky and nearing 5 years with the car I still have no concerns. Touch wood! From what I can make out most cars built up to July 2001 have been pretty reliable.

The problematic cars apear to have been built and delivered after July 2001. I guess that Peugeot had a mass influx of orders around this time and let there qualiity slip in order to keep up with demand.

Magazines say different, but when the front bumper changed on the 1.6 they also introduced the multiplexed cars which brought on even more problems. Magazines will have you believe that the quality improved. I would like to know how the come by this knowledge.

Oh yes come to think of it I dont think the 1.6 was released until after July 2001.

After owning my car a year I almost changed it for a newer cc as my cc does not have multiplexing. I could have had a good px deal + 1000 pound off due to the credit card deal Peugeot had on offer at the time. I read all the complaints and decided against it.

Multiplexed cars came before the bumper changes. Multiplexed cars came on the scene during October/November 2001.

I ordered at the end of July 2001 and got the updated car at the same price as I had already ordered. It also came with the upgraded stereo (speakers) and auto wipers and auto lights.

Delivery was 10/12/01.

Rejected 79 days later.

Mine was an 04 and i could ping the roof back and forward before it had finished operating, homer simpson styley. Roof goes up, roof goes down, roof goes up...

Maybe a higher mileage, newish plate for the least niggles.

It was a new wiring system where everthing run off the one cable instead of loads of separate cables.

It reduces weight due to less cables being used and allows features to be added far easier.
