Is it just me or can you not lock the car with the roof down?
Sometimes the alarm goes off sometimes it doesn't, I thought I'd got it sorted when I pressed the lock button twice & the alarm didn't go off, until I tried it the next day & it did!!!
Needless to say this is quite embarassing when you're stood in a car park full of un sympathetic (jealous ) people.
i think the interior sensors are disabled when you lock the car with the roof down, so they shouldn't go off
i never left my CC with the roof down not unless it was in view all the time, never know whats gonna happen to it, bird poo on the seats, other jealous peoples rubbish etc etc
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, I had to just leave it unlocked the other day because of this. It's not a great design if u can't leave it locked with the roof down. May have a word with peugeot if I can't get it resolved on here...
Just to clarify your car should lock roof up or down. However as Lyndon was saying:
The alarm is quite clever in that it disables the two motion sensors in the car for the alarm and could give the impression that the alarm is not activated. The doors should still lock though.
If I understand you correctly then it sounds like a dodgy connection to the receiver on the car for the remote. There was also an article on watchdog about PSA cars having issues with locking/ unlocking of cars due to interference in built up areas. I guess its possible that with the roof down this interference could be causing the issue. Go out somewhere away from town and see if it locks with the roof down.
