MPG shows 99,99 and never changes! WHY?!!!!!!!!!

All of a sudden my mpg estimate on the residual petrol shows 99,99 and never changes! Is it possible to fix it?!!!

I bought it 2nd hand. Its 2002 with only 18k mls! Was workin perfectly for the first month, after that it went to 3,339mpg and then stayed at 99,99. So frustrating. Havent come across anyone else with the problem!

Try resetting, hold down the outer button on the wiper stalk for a few seconds until it resets.. then have another look.

If still no luck then its as Lyndon says :s

from memory i think the trip computer goes up to just over 3200 miles before it does that - god knows why

resetting as you found always clears the problem
