Well we've bought our first car here in America. For those I've talked to, it's not exactly what I was planning to get! Quick hint:

It's a 1.6 litre rear engined sports car. Any ideas?

Frosty, you're very close.

It's in fact a 1969 VW Karmann Ghia! Picking it up at the end of the week so will get some photos up.

It's a project car in need of some work (interior carpets, headliner, dashboard, exterior paint job etc) but runs perfectly well so we can use it for pottering to the malls and back.

GORGEOUS car. An absolute classic, and worthy of a good make-over.

Did you get the end of model version that had auto lights? :rotfl:

Yep we fell in love with it when we first saw the advert. A pic from the ad is below. I like the auto lights idea... however I doubt that the lights work at all let alone by themselves! The best thing about the KG is that the parts are readily & easily available so any work shuold be cheap & easy to do.
