Hi All,
Haven't posted for ages due to not really using the car, now looks like i will be selling it, just wanted to ask one bit of advice that may save her from sale.

The warranty I have on the car at the moment is third due to the car being UK spec but from outside the UK. Anyway the roof has developed a small leak, so i took it to the local Pug dealer and they had it for a day and checked it all over free of charge. I got back the results and a quote, it needs 2 new seals and the roof re-sealing and the quote was nearly £600 for everything, i didn't care much at that price as it was under warrenty, then when phoning the warranty people they said that Water Ingress is not covered under warrenty. I asked Peugeot about this and they said that had it been a Peugeot warranty it would have been done no questions asked. So i wrote to the garage who sold me they car and explained the situation and basically they said Peugeot were lying and that Water Ingress would be treated no different under a Peugeot.

So one of them has to be lying but i don't know which, Peugeot are completely in the right that charging me for the work because the warranty isn't with them, but are the right when they say a Peugeot warranty would be diferent or does water ingress after near 2 years mean that its down to wear and tear?

Any help or advice would be great, but i've already got the next car lined up if it all falls through so its not a life or death thing,
Cheers all

under manufacturers warranty water ingress would be covered during year 3.

motorway cars bathgate did work on my 206CC during year 3 for a water leak that didn't even exist but that's due to them being thick and incompetent as they were supposed to fix the creaking noise from the roof catch on the drivers side.

not only did they try and fix a fault that never existed but they broke the roof in the process for nearly 3 months. there's no way i would pay a pug dealer to do work like that because if they are anything like motorway cars bathgate then they don't know that much about cars in the first place.

There is no way I will be paying anything out of my own pocket as i've heard too many stories of the leaks still not being fixed after that, to be fair to the car its only leaked a couple of times so i won't feel guilty selling it but all the issues have put me off and the car doesn't seem the same after that, anyone got any ideas on what i'm likely to get for:

Black 2.0SE
Uk Spec but not UK original car (only difference being the warranty, which is about to expire anyway)
Full Leather with all the normal trimmings of a 2.0SE
????

Cheers :D
