didn't post about it last night as i was ever so slightly p****d off

just as the CC is about to disappear the bad luck didn't......

i have owned the car for nearly 32 months and never had a puncture which in all honesty has been very lucky. yesterday at work my back tyre is flat - turns out to be a slow puncture. as the jack kept going sideways when I tried to jack the car up i called out the AA (Peugeot Assistance) as i had no other option - at least that makes the 2yrs extended cover worthwhile as i had never used it before.

service was excellent and the guy was with me in not much more than 20 mins.

anyway, he inflated the tyre and followed me to a local national tyres & autocare depot as the tyre wasn't losing pressure too quick.

i told the guy that i really wanted it repaired as i was selling the car on friday - they said they couldn't and it would need to be replaced - a*****s

so with no other option i had to hand over £84 for a new tyre - i asked for the cheapest tyre but that still wasn't cheap as I only paid £83 each for 4 x Goodyear Eagle F1's GSD3 in march.

add that to the £196 i paid out last monday then thats £280 in 9 days

i got some good news today as i wasn't optimistic about getting the new car on friday but it arrived at the dealer on wednesday night to be pdi'd and all going well with insurance and tax etc.. then i should definitely get it tomorrow sometime :D

who cares - it's gone :D

altho being honest and this is me being emotional :P it was sad to see it go. i always feel slightly sad when i sell a car but i think with having this car the longest and it being by far the best looking locking it for the last time and walking away wasn't easy :(

also normally when i sell a car i'm getting a better one and this time it wasn't the case.

the MG ZR is a nice car but it just isn't anything special like the CC was. i was beginning to think about waiting until later than march before gettin the 307CC but the way i feel the now, as long as i can afford to buy it and modify it at ecosse then i'll get it around then.

Hi Derek I really liked what you had done to the 206 and was wondering what sort of mods ecosse have for the 307cc, and what do you intend doing to the car.

hi nobby,

i haven't decided exactly what i'm doing yet but this page shows the verve, nickel and abbes kits available.....

http://www.ecosse-peugeot.co.uk/products.asp?app=307

i will need to decide carefully what i want as the idea with the 206CC was it being subtle and not overboard and i would prefer to do something similar with the 307CC.

it's likely that i will get one in aegean blue with lama grey leather although i could change my mind as the MG ZR is ignition blue which is a bit darker.

from the kits i will probably follow the lines of the verve kit but there will be choices of changing things to suit how i want it to look. the bit i don't really like on the verve kit is the front where it is debadged but i like the rest.

when i get time, i will have a look at the kits and decide what i want to do.

the 206CC was nice but you never saw the front splitter on which was really the finishing touch that set it off but after smashing two of them on speed bumps i had to give up.

I do like the Abbes very subtle styling that will make it a bit more individual.
Also I love the gold colour on the Nickel.

I was picking my new car up on the 1st September 2004 and on the 31st August 2004 i was driving home from work when i stone cracked the windscreen. So there i am only hours before the part exchange happened calling up autoglass and paying the bloody excess to get the windscreen changed as it had cracked accross the whole of the the bloody screen.

Hope that makes you feel a little better.
