Hya - I finally got my new 206cc, black tiptronic with leather and climate control stuff etc..*beam*.......Its luvverrrrrlllyyyyyy!!

Ive done 700 miles in it already !

Two things annoy me though - Unlike my old car the key doesnt fold up into the fob - Just seems awkward now and Im sure Im gonna scratch the paintwork as I get in the car, and secondly - why doesnt the boot lock work with the central locking - Its such a nightmare having to insert the key everytime I wanna open the boot. Has anyone ever modified the boot lock, or is it even possible to get it to work with the central locking.

Other than that I luuurve the car, its fab and I cant wait to drive to work tomorrow morning :))

Soz for the long post - just how excited I am <g>

Yes the CC is a lovely car.

I too am a bit pi55ed off about the boot and having to open it with a key. Especially as it is getting darker and I just know by the end of winter I will have scratched my boot a lot.

From what I gather it has something to do with security and the roof being in the boot. I have to admitted I can't fully get my head around it

With the key fob thing I take it you have just got rid of an Audi or VW as aren't they the ones with the folding keys.

Welcome to the World of CC!

But hold on....Tiptronic????! Do they do these on CC's?

The boot thing is down to security. As the boot is extenal (not a hatch back) if you were in a traffic jam for instance, anyone could open the boot have a rummedge around and you might not even know! So Pug decided to keep the boot locked as just as they can!

good luck with your CC - hope you have more luck than i had with mine.

i'm off to try and flog mine saturday/sunday ......... if i don't have any problems with it.

the idea was to do that last sunday until i had engine problems on the saturday which meant i couldn't take it anywhere and it cost nearly £200 to put right.

wish me luck :D

Hmmmz
When your car is unlocked and you open the trunk with your key, you can open it again without the key as much if you want.

the best thing is when you turn the key to unlock the boot, is to press the button then turn the key the other way so that when you close it, it will be locked if you don't need back in.
