I just had to share my experience with someone as the missus is getting a bit peed of with me going on about it.

The day started pretty badly. At 4:30 this morning my mirror came off the wall in the bedroom and woke us up with quite a shock :| . Fortunately the mirror didn’t break. I then went on to my computer at about 10am to download some stuff from work to find all my Microsoft programs would not stay open past 5 second. Not being very good with computers it took me a good hour to sort it out :x . I then had a doctor’s appointment, which went fine, but it was the drive home that has really redeemed my day.

Where I live we have loads of roundabouts and the last few years the council has decided to make roundabouts with traffic light exits with two lanes, which go down to one after about 50 meters. At one such roundabout I normally get in to the left side lane and generally leave enough space for a car to get in front of me. However on this occasion the left hand lane was full meaning I would be blocking the previous exit of the roundabout and so I crawl up and wait on the right side lane waiting for the traffic lights to change. I notice to the left of me is a BMW 330 ci and knowing my cars place with its comparatively little 2l engine I leave a slight head start for the driver to acknowledge to the BMW driver that I would like to tuck in behind him.

Well the lights go green and it appeared that the nice BMW driver was actually going to let me go in front of him. So I accelerate away not too slow of fast. Just enough to get in front without going over 4000rpm. I noticed at this point when looking in my passenger side mirror that its safe for me to get in the left hand lane, but continue a little further in lane just so I do not cut the BMW up. The next thing I know the BMW is right alongside the driver’s door and there I was thinking we were both being courteous to one another. I logically decided to allow the BMW to undertake me as we were about to run out of the two lanes and cars were approaching in the opposite direction. What a ghitt I thought :? . It’s a good job I keep an eye on my mirrors or there would have been an expensive little accident. The driver behind me looked equally disgusted. Ok I thought I’m not going to get angry my car is no way more powerful than a 3L 3series. I keep to the speed limit and we pass the second roundabout along, what is a short stretch of road. I notice a learner on the other side of the road coming the other way and calculate it will pass the BMW before the center section of the next stretch of road. So I slip in to second, start accelerating before the learner has past and I time it perfectly. pulling out just after the learner has passed us both. I passed the BMW and cut back in just before the 3rd roundabout. It was needle and thread precision. I could almost imagine the applause from the cars behind us for such a quick maneuver. My frog legged engineered, hairdressers car kicks the arse of some overweight, over engineered Nazi wagon. This is why I love French cars. They are not the fastest or quickest and they don’t have much in the way of driver aids, but learn there characteristics and they can be made to embarrass many a more powerful car.

I don’t like to race other cars and generally only drive enthusiastically when there are no other cars about, but the opportunity was there, it was safe and so he just had to be done. I love my wee little Pug

Very Good.

Why is it that everybody seems to want to overtake the Peugeot 206cc?

When I get to traffic lights 80% of the time someone pulls up next to me and wants to beat me away from the lights.

I just don't get it. Must be jealousy!!

I have a similar BMW related experience!

I was driving along a 50mph dual carriageway in the fast lane, when a BMW X5 comes roaring up behind me. Now, I wasn't going slow, i know the road well so was prob doing 60. I would have pulled over to the slow lane but there were plenty of cars there and I would have had to creep along. The guy was right up my arse and driving aggressively, really pissing me off, so i felt a wind up coming along!

I new there was a corner ahead with a hidden speed camera around it (he obviously didn't know this) so I slowed down to 50 as I went around the corner, then pulled over to the slow lane, he obviously floored it as he overtook me and then '**flash flash** from the camera! I did have a huge :D on my face!

Why are X5 drivers allways so a aggressive!!??
