The only polish worth using for lasting protection is Autoglym, thats why every manufacturer at the motor show uses it.

They do a whole range of products to keep you car perfect and they really work, all the others try to get there but dont.

There is a really expensive polish that you get when you buy your porsche, which Halfords started to sell (its blue and smells of lovely things ike coconut etc) but I cant remember its name. its very good but really expensive compared with autoglym, the real advantage is after you finished polishing the car you smell like a playboy rather than a mechanic!

I think you're referring to either Zymol or Swissol.

Mark Underwood is the UK Swissol man (he used to be a Zymol distributor), and also does a lovely job of buffing up your car with his £300 a pot wax. He did both the TVR and our now-departed CC. TVR needs doing again, but I think I'll do it with my £50 a pot wax instead.

Zymol ! thats the kiddy absolutly blooming lovely!
it was much cheaper though than £50 a pot more like £15 from Halfords I think. Porsche prices are likley to be much higher though

Cheers

There are many different Zymol waxes. I think they do one that is several thousand pounds

The ones in Halfords will be the cheaper end of the range.

Yep the kit that you get with all new porsches retails for over a grand but has everything you need, or at least used to! havent bought a new porsch for a while! ;)

the website for the uk distributors is http://www.vertar.com/zymol.asp and the one that halfords stocks is the "cleaner polish and the leather care cleaner" carnuba is what it smells of and its gorgous.

Now the problem is of course that the weather is turning so you really should have cleaned and protected your car by now anyway, which makes this thread a little late really.

Unless you clean the car and then polish it in the garage :P

Right no more I promise
