Well, without giving too much of my secrets away, i have found that the best cleaning product to use is available from City Rail. Its called a weekly train ticket!! Its amazing how well it works at keeping my car so shiny and its quite reasonably priced too. It comes highly recommended from me !!!!!

But, if you cant get any of the City Rail product, you can always try, Meguirs soft wash gel and wash your car on a weekly basis, followed by Meguirs gold class wax once a month. As for your wheels, you can always try Meguirs hot rims to help get all the brake dust off. And no, i dont work for Meguirs or have an endorsement contract with them  And dont forget to use Armour All for your interior and any exterior plastics.

Hope that helps !!

Despite the fact that my car (1) was only new in January this year; (2) is always garaged when not in use; and, (3) received the paint protection pack sold to me by the dealer... I still felt it necessary to have it detailed once AND also polished on another occasion after seeing the SLY mobile.

In between washes, I've got Meguir's stuff to clean the leather and shine the tyres.
Cheers,
Michael

Hi all,

Good to hear that most of you have discovered Meguiar’s products. There is an ‘a’ in the name by the way. I worked for Meguiar’s for a couple of years in my youth, and their products are really that good. If any of you are unsure what to use, go to their website at www.meguairs.com.au and take an Rx Paint Care Prescription. It will tell you the best products to use depending on your circumstances.

Having wrangled a mate into helping me on a five hour detail job yesterday, the car is back to it’s best after the panel beater episode. But don’t overlook some other products. I find Carplan products great for wheels and tyres, and Zymol products are awesome if you can dig deeper for the added expense.

Keep on shining…

Should be headed down to Sydney before the year is out. I'll keep you guys posted and hopefully we can get together and swap tall tales of Peugeots.
