Hi all,
Just to update you all on my NRMA pains. As I mentioned in the last post, I was forced to go to a dodgy panel beater thanks to the NRMA insurance policy change.
Well I have my car back in the less then perfect condition, as I expected. The panel beater had never seen a Peugeot or a European car. In fact by the look of the company cars and old bangers I saw, this was there first attempt at black paint.
To get to the point, I don't know how, but they stuffed my accelerator cable, denied it, so I had to get the Peugeot dealer fix it. They sprayed black paint specks over my rims and covered one entirely in oil and grease. Of course they also didn't protect my car correctly, the once glass-like paint finish on my entire car is covered in a thin layer of dust/particles/paint flakes. It will require detailing on a major scale. I’m not happy and the panel beater & NRMA don’t give a shit.
Hope all of you are having a better time with your Pugs.

Sorry to hear of your trouble. Make sure you go back to your insurer in writing stating you are not happy and want the issues rectified. If you have access to a digital camera it wouldn't hurt to include photos of the defects. If you don't have any joy with them tell them you're going to take it to the Insurance Ombudsman, and be prepared to do so. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Cheers

The 'preferred repairer' policy was the only bad thing about my AAMI policy, but now with NRMA doing the same thing, what's the difference??
I've also changed my policy to have a large excess so that my premium is cut by 50%.

"prefered repairer" i think = "cheapest repairer" hence reflect the quality of the workmanshipsThe 'preferred repairer' policy was the only bad thing about my AAMI policy, but now with NRMA doing the same thing, what's the difference??
