Hi all - just thought I would pop my head back round the door of the CC site and see how life is for the 206cc'ers! I sadly had to sell my CC earlier this year when I found out I was pregnant, and my head kept telling me that the car wasn't sensible or suitable any longer - god I cried when I handed over the keys at the garage - especially when I picked up the top spec 5 door hatchback 206 in its place. This 206 has to be the most boring car I have ever had (I even preferred my Mum's metro!!), and to cap it all the buggy we bought for the baby doesn't fit in the boot!! So today I let my hormones take over and headed down to our local Renault garage and ordered a 2.0 Megane CC - won't get it till Nov/Dec time, but I am so excited - I have missed my little CC so much, and regretted selling it the moment I drove the dull 206 replacement off the forecourt!!
When finally deciding to go back to a CC I did try the 307CC but it just didn't excite me in the way that the 206CC had done, the boot space wasn't all that great (no way that I could get the roof down with the buggy in the boot) and it was more than £3k more expensive than the Megane.
So if you're down in Wiltshire this winter and you see a mad bird driving round in a Megane CC with the roof down and a tiny 3/4 month old baby wrapped up against the elements shivering in the front seat, you'll know its me and my son or daughter (due any day now!!!)!! Now all I need to do is find a Megane CC forum online!!
Hope you are all enjoying your cars in this fab weather - I do still wave and flash my lights at CC's, but it doens't have quite the same effect from a China Blue 206!!
