Ok, I am sure your expecting more from the title...sorry!
Have just bought some front corner splitters for me cc, they are yet to arrive with me but when they do I am wondering how to colour them. I have had a quote for £90 to get them done, which sounds expensive to me! I know you will all ridicule me for this but would attempting to spray it myself be that bad? ie, by hand by can or something?
Or should I just take it to a paint shop?
What you think?

Take it to a paint shop. They should be able to do them for <£50 I would have thought. Painting plastic is quite difficult -- you have to put some sort of plasticizer in the paint to make it flexible, otherwise it will crack and chip off.

I have in the past sprayed bits myself. The results can be ok, especially on parts not in direct sight. If in unfinished plastic then correct plastic primer should be used first as paint will either run off or crack/peel easily.
Then in absence of an oven to bake the paint, I have 2 1000 watt halogen floodlights on a stand about 2 foot from the item to paint. I point them at the part to be painted and spray in slow even movements. The paint hits the part and dries immediately due to the heat being kicked out the the floodlights. Repeat after 10 minute or so with laquer.
