Just noticed on ebay this little sexy thing, if it can save my some miles and give an extra little "oomph" to my car then Im sold.

Interested to hear what others say also :)

It's very well explained here how this device worked well in the 70's but nowadays the CPU monitors the exhaust gases and will adjust down the misture so negating the device totally! It also says the suggested fitting place is in the feed for the brake servo, so if it comes off you won't have any servo assistance to stop the car with...

I found this and this which are reports from people who have them, plus a link to this page with some references to snake oil ;)

A colleague at work with a diesel is convinced the magnets he fitted to his fuel and air lines have made a difference, but then if you'd paid forty quid for a magnet I'd expect you would too ...
