USING THE REMOTE WITH A NEW STEREO

Can you use the remote on the steering wheel with a new stereo? ie a special attachment or something? Somebody told me ya can just want to know how and where! I have a panasonic cd/mp3 player

You can use the remote with a non-standard headunit but only certain types. My Kenwood unit doesn't work but I think Sony headunits do. You may need to buy an adaptor but I'm sure I've read elsewhere on this forum that Sony is the only one that does.

I could be wrong though...

I think Alpine may do them as well now - I've seen mention of an Alpine adapter for 8-function 206 stalk controls, not sure if it works with Multiplex thou.
