I thought the steering wheel was a bit cr*p when I first got it.
It seem just a bit to big and fat and didn't feel as "sporty" as I would have liked.
A month and a half later I feel totally at ease about it and don't really think about it at all. Although I still think that there steering is rather heavy and having said that I am getting use to that too.
I read this thread, then took the CC out today. Steering wheel seems fine to me. Are you sure you're not sitting too close? Make sure your hands are at "quarter to three".
Of course, if the wheel was smaller it would be even harder to turn.

TBH it seems pretty good to me for the size of car.
The TVR's wheel is actually far too small, which makes it a pain to manoeuvre (particularly when creaks and pops start coming from the steering column )

Driving position is fine - hands at quarter to three or ten to two - the wheel is just too 'thick'!
Much preferred the Puma steering wheel - the BMW one is too 'thin'.
Am I fussy or what..?!
Ali,
maybe you would like one like this. You see I crossed over from the CC to the Racing Puma. You would still keep the airbag and would also get the funky blue alcantara to go with it as your car is agean if I remember correctly.
Sorry Lyndon, couldnt resist plugging the FARPYS and yes I still have driven it unles you count 3.8 miles this year - but it does look pretty on thedrive.
