i got a very intresting prob well here goes,
i got me 206cc allure nov 12 ,3 weeks later i was looking over her bodywork to see wots wot ,and to my horror i found this dent about the size of 1/2 pence piece only smaller still, round ish anyways,i was instantly angry thinking tesco trolley or summit kids bike etc ,and time passed ,and i got over that thinking no probbs i gotta service in 6 months .
ill ask em to fix it ,but nothing preparered me for my next enlightenment, within this past 3 weeks i found another identical shaped dent on the exact opposite side to the earlier one ,now i was curious.
the dents are both without anyother signs of surrounding area being affecterd this is strange ,so i have 2 dents 8 inches back behind the doors, inline with the door handles on the rear wingsides,
i wondered if the roof raising or lowering ,put ant force against the panels, cause they seem to be operating from within this area ?
any feedback will be appreciated,go check yours out people,or am i the first one to find these mysterious dents,

It's probably other people's car doors. You don't park two cars side by side on your driveway do you?
Our CC is covered in small dents now. My usual trick is to wait until I'm selling, then get them all knocked out by one of those paintless dent repair places.

Just before I sold the Impreza I got all the dents knocked out. 8 panels for £250, which I thought was pretty good.

I have a plastic car now ;)

i think you lost the plot,i park on me driveway, noway,
i was more intrested in feedback relating to where the roof mechanism is inline with these mysterious dents in a tape measured perfect allignment on both rear wings 8 inches from the door handles.hence my real concern is ,is the roof going either up or down ,doing anything behind this area which cud cause these dents ,phew thier hehe
any pug boffins help atall? :)_i

if it was caused by the roof or mechanism then i would expect he dent to be from the inside as that's where anything is that could touch it - not that i think anything could cause this going by memory.

just be careful where u park your car as it's probably happened in a car park or something ..... both times

f they are in identical places on bopth sides and are identical size/shape then i think its unlikely to be car doors, etc.

Did the second dent 'appear'? or could it always have been there?

If they could have both appeared at the same time, have you sent it through a mechanical carwash? about the time they appeared?

it's unlikely to be due to stress of the roof mechanism coz that isn't supported by the side panels. if it was topuching you would get rubbing which you may hear over the noisy roof if you listen close whilst some1 else operates the button

i aint gotta digi camera ,ill work on it,service soon may 12th.
yes both appeared overnight in both dents with a three month gap,
i have on occassion noticed that az the roof goes past the midway point on closing thier seems alot of stress round that area ?
still puzzling me to be honest ,i park on me private driveway ,noway
can this be happening to me car in tescos either,so i very worried
and although they are concaved in shape and one would attribute these to tesco trolleys and suchlike,i still wonder whether behind the panel ,is a lotta stress wene the roof goes past midway ,awl i dunno anymore

I also got one and was told its called a "Dimple" caused by the expantion and contraction of the metal due to the weather/day/night tempreatures.

awl i dont want no dimples if thats wot they is,i mean why didnt they tell me that wene i bought it,
o i suppose not ,wouldnt be a good sales pitch ,
"o and buy the way mr st1gzee keep the car away from direct sunlight or the panels will shrivel up into a kinda polka dot matrix"
wouldnt sell many would it?.
na identical dents m8,cant be weather related,i rekon thats good story from pug if it was them who said this to ya dude,
anyways the fact that someone else found them in the same positions must mean summit, please cheack from rear people , look along the mid lineof the rear wings, from the rear towards the door handles ,anything atall?hehe
p.s i just told pug about it today and they wanna look at it.at the service on the 12 th may ill keep ya posted on that 1 .
 o dear

just to update this post, the man from peugeot says never heard of it ,but in reality just wanted my cash,to fix two dents, although they did a good job it took em a week ,plus i had my first service, same time
and sp grilles added up and downers, lex rear lights, photos soon, patience is everything,
bit peed off they needed a whole week with this work tbh ppl,
i reckon it should of only taken a few hrs to do all this work imo, comments welcome ,do i go back and moan or ,is this common for peugeot to keep ya car for so long .
