206cc 2002?

Hi all,

Well, after much thinking I reckon I almost ready to buy myself a 206cc! I found a second hand 2002 diablo red one. It's a 1.6 automatic. Got a couple of questions for you guys before I make the final decision:

How reliable are the auto boxes?

Had the roof mechanism problems been sorted by the time the 2002 model came out?

Was the 2002 model multiplexed?

Is there anything in particular I should check before buying?

dunno about the auto boxes, sorry

the roof should be fine as long as it doesn't LEAK

multilexing came in oct 2001 or was it 2002 (help, i'm not sure)

if possible test drive in the rain or ask if ya can use a hosepipe on it to see if the seals leak, try and contact the previous owner and ask if anything was/is wrong with it and just give it a good going over, checking for dents/ripped/missing trim etc etc b4 ya sign on the dotted line

Multiplex came out Oct 2001

But.... I remember seeing NON-multiplex in Trade Sales registered in 2002 so go by manufacturing date, not registration!

In the UK, the best way to tell is if it has the split locking/hazard button on the dash it's multiplex- if it's just one hazzard button it's non-multiplex.
