Ni'cc'k, I can think of only one scenario for the reason why the boot doesn't unlock with the central locking.
Supposing you parked up, locked your car with the roof down. Well I imagine it may be possible for an opportunist to reach in and either press the c/l dash buton or maybe pull the central locking pillars up in the hope of releasing your central locking and ultimately the contents of your boot (were the boot to release with the rest of the central locking).
Only guessing of course, never tried it myself (not being a car thief) so I may be wrong.

Hi Ni'cc'k, your right, pulling up the door pillars when roof is down doesn't work the central locking if the car's deadlocked.
But the central locking will unlock by pulling up the door pillars if the car is only locked up with the roof down (without the additional deadlock in place).
Maybe the boot not unlocking with the central locking is for people like me who may lock up with the roof down but forget to sometimes deadlock the car.
I have got long arms though and been known to be a bit of a monkey so maybe that's why I qualify more tham most to be able to lean over to open my car up.
Thanks for the support, won't be picking up the car until Sept/Oct, plenty of time to enjoy my cc in the sunshine.
Robbie.

From a security point of view I think the boot locking has been done the best way. I don't forget to lock my boot by doing the following:
unlock the boot with the key, push the button to open the boot, immediately lock the boot again. This way when you shut the boot it is locked already!

exactly what i do - and if you ever try to lock your car with the plip and you hear a warning noise and the doors don't lock, then it's because you forgot to close the boot lid properly while cleaning the car

Silly question maybe, but to deadlock do you press the remote button once or twice? I'm sure I remember reading in the manual just to do it once, but on other people's Peugeots (306s etc) I think they need to do it twice. I suppose I could go out and test it when the roof's down, but it's raining here in Swindon at the moment so it's not really an option...

Sorry Nick,
Derek is right. On the new cc's the lock button on the remote deadlocks first - If you press it again, you can hear the locks as you say, but this is them UN-deadlocking.
Try it with the roof down, on the first press, you cannot unlock the car by pulling on the lock button.
I was advised by Peugeot Master Technician as I had asked this question - also says this in the manual. It is different from the 306 & 406's, even on mulitlplex.
