Hi there, I'm currently looking at buying a 206cc but have recently heard some bad reports about the leaking rooks, squeaky brakes and rattling doors and windows.. I'm going to look at one this Saturday that looks really nice. It's been lowered it has 17" alloys and it's a Y reg in my fav colour and it does really look smart...! Please please please could someone out there who knows alot about these cars advice me on what I should be checking so I DON'T pick a bad 206cc. Thanks Ness.

See if you can find the full service history - ie check if the seals have ever been replaced, check if the brake pads were replaced with the non-squeaky ones. And most importantly, take it for a LONG test drive over bumpy roads. Don't accept a 2 mile drive down a straight road and back.
The most noticeable squeaks when I had my CC were when you'd had the roof down then just put it back up again. The rubber squeaks like hell then as it needs a little while to settle back into position.
And definitely enquire about extended warranty. A Y-reg car will be out of the manufacturers 3 year warranty by now, and CCs can be very expensive to fix if roof problems occur.
