After 3 hours of battle to disconnect the ball joint and then to fit on the screws, I finally finished installing the QS in my CC!!

I bought the Quickshift Kit from Griffith Engineering in the UK http://www.griff-eng.co.uk for about A$100 and followed instructions from www.206gti.net.

If you guys are interested in installing this, definitely read the instructions on 206gti.net, but instead of a claw hammer, I used a spanner to disconnect the ball joint from the OEM bracket. I just couldn't work out how one can use the hammer! :( Using a spanner was very easy! Just push it in like a fork, then wedge the spanner handle downwards and off pops the rod.

Now changing gears is a treat!! I've only set it to the middle setting, but it's a big difference to the factory gear change's distance!

That was my next planned purchase ! The standard gears have such a long throw. I look forward to checking it out in your car next week when we meet up on Sunday.

I wonder if anyone else in Sydney wants one ? Maybe we could get them shipped together and save on freight.

Michael
