Has there been reasearch or study to back up their claim that tinted cars are anymore dangerous then non-tinted one?
roads and traffic laws seem to be more more idiotic as time goes on, apparently its also illegal to hang things from the rear view mirror stalk, some one has been fine for hanging a xmas tree car perfume thing (obstructing vision).
year 2050
-Not allow rear passenger taller then 180cm to not obtructing rear vision
-Male driver are not allow to have Attractive female passengers to distract attention from driving
-All cars must be grey in color, to not cause any un-neccessary emotional response (eg red for anger/sexual arrousal) to other driver.
-All graffics sticker are prohibited, acception of company name and logo but max 10cm in height and must not be more then 80% of the length of the car (acception of POLICE, sticker provided by the police such as "COPS R TOPS" is allow)
-All number plates must be random as so not to cause other drivers to think of what it mean (eg YX32IH is not allow and so is S3XNDCT)
-Catchy music are not allow to play in the car which may cause a sing along, all radio manufacture for car must be lock to certain station for news and traffic reports but not for music, absolutely no visual monitor.
-Since all car manufacture from 2010 comply to the driver-non-distraction-compliance (DNDC) all controls are mounted on the steering wheel, any dash control installed which cause to take the hand away from the wheel for more then 10sec is prohibited. All cars manufactured pre-2010 must have appropriate RTA approved conversion kit and must have purple-stripe slip prior to registration.
-All 8 mirrors (2-side front wheel mirror, 2 side wing mirror, 2 side rear wheel mirror, top rear view mirror, lower rear view mirror) must be adjusted by qualify professional every six months.

Yes. It's been shown that not being able to see through your car windows (esp. at night) has an adverse affect on your ability to control said vehicle.Has there been reasearch or study to back up their claim that tinted cars are anymore dangerous then non-tinted one?
It's the same reason that tinted visors on motorcycle helmets are illegal.

In all seriousness I remember my driving instructor telling me that there was no evidence one way or the other that speeding or drink driving was the cause of an adverse number of car accidents. He said the reason that the government was so hot on it was due to the alarming number of road accidents on our roads and the government had to be seen to be doing something about it. Not sure I agree with him, (drink driving is a definite no no in my book) but I guess he should know more than me considering it was his profession.
It just seems that there’s a lot of profit to be made out of motorists and it’s a shame that our police force have been demoted from being an aid in society too just being another form of tax collector. How demoralizing for them.
