My car has been crunched!!! Me and my boyfriend were driving down to Kent at the weekend to visit his family and an old boy in a mazda mx5 thought he could overtake some cars parked on the road with a car coming the other way but changed his mind and reversed 13ft (!!) backwards into my baby. My right wing is beyond repair and has a mazda shape dent in it. oohhhhhhhhh the pain my Peugeot must be in.

I really want to replace it because its a year old and dirty and I cant be bothered to wash it! can anyone suggest any phunky convertibles for around the same cc price range? I fancy a MG FT but are they bland?

MGFT are mobile swimming pools, have NO boot space whatsoever, trims/interior fall apart easy and they suffer from electrical faults.

Not a rant, but my experiences of selling them over the last couple of years.

noooo, apparently where i got my CC from, the mechanic used to work for Rover MG, and said they often blow the head gasket, also i test drove 3 and they all were mushy in the gears and very stiff on the accelorator pedal, so much that after a month of driving you may find your right leg has got more muscles than your left. LOL

The new Beatle convertable looks fun though.

I'm very tempted to get a 2.0cc as I've only got a 1.6 at the moment but I've had soooooooo many problems with my cc, the build quality of the car is just horrific and the word 'quality' is used very freely, but I still love the way they look. I have rattles in my left ear, right ear, a passenger seat which doesnt work, its 12 months old and it never starts, its handbreak broke and rolled down a hill, but its pretty :D .. typical girl.

OK so an MG is out, maybe a Mini Cooper S, again, so pretty...

dont go for a rag top!!! i know the mini is too small for a "proper" cc like roof, so why did they go and spoil it?? ragtops are horrible :yikes:
