Have a look on this site
http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/mp3.asp
seems there are 2 models that can decode Windows Media Files (.wma) which is apparently better quality than mp3 (or smaller for the same quality) roughly equal to MP3 Pro.
That is the way i would go. There are a few other models coming onto the market to from pioneer and a few other as well.

Hi
Not sure how reliable they are form that site as I've ordered some speakers and not heard anything from them in a week (will be ringing soon).
As for the MP3 player. I've got one (kenny cant remember the model name £214) Its great... The MASK system isnt motorised so you flip it over with your finger rather than it doing it all yourself and the display has some nice colourfull graphics (That do sod all - so are a waste) but it plays the tunes fine.
I've encoded at 128K and cant really notice any difference in quality... (the CC isnt exactly an acoustically perfect car so why bother trying to get perfection)

Hi people,
Saw this thread about the Kenwood 6090Mp3 player and thought I'd ask for a little help. In general I am very very pleased with the player. It can play both 320Kbps mp3s and VBR (which i find extremely cool since the manual suggests 128Kbps),CDRWs, it has NEVER ever "misbehaved" in any way. The only thing i noticed a couple of days ago was that after listening to mp3s with volume at about 25 for a long time the sound gets a little less clear. If i shut down the player and restart it the sound gets better (as it should be). Since I am not into audio equipment a lot I would appreciate if someone would tell me whether this could be a player issue or a speakers issue. My front speakers are Peerless (sorry no specs, i got them the day I got the car, wanted BADLY to get an audio system setup, had a specific budget etc etc
Thank you in advance,
Best regards from Greece to all CC owners
