So what is it? I guessed the 206 GTI 180 on your poll? Correct?

Hi Esselle.. why  ?!

Diesel is great. It's the future. I've seen it!

Anyway, magicman - how was your pickup? Sorry for hijacking your thread a bit, I promise not to talk about my car in here again ;)

It's just Aegean blue, and it's a 90bhp Diesel and not the 180.. unfortunately!!!

Sorry - continuing to hijack, but need to reply.

Dunno why I'm so shocked really, just thought you'd go for extreme power, ie. GTI 180 (and your poll didn't say HDi  ). The GTi 180 certainly appeals to me, but roofless won when it came to the choice

I had an HDi (although it was the 307) as a courtesy car and it was rather nice. ;)

Well I drove the 180 and I did like it, but for that money you can also get a Civic Type R, which although isn't as good looking outside or inside as the 206, has much more power.

I really wanted something that looks good but that is cheap to run and the XSi HDi was the one for me :)

And I've kind of got stuck into the HDi style of driving. The acceleration in third is pretty impressive for 90bhp and of course the engine is very easily tunable

Cheers :)

Incidentally, it's a multiplex car like the newer CCs. It has exactly the same interior and gadgets and buttons etc, but there's no delay with the lights and horn which is a characteristic with the CC. I guess some new software may well fix the issue :)

Good idea, although I don't think my warranty would be valid!
