How wide can I go?

Okay people Iam about to buy some alloys after some serious saving, what can I get away with without doing any arch work

The wheels I am lookin at are available in:

7 x 17
8 x 17
8 x 18

think any 18's will require some form of arch work to stop them scrubbing

not sure on 17's but some one else should be able to give you the answer shortly

7x17 defo no problems.

18's i'm sure they fit on okay too, i think its 19's when you'll start having problems
